The opening of the first McDonalds in Russia signaled the open-access to CIA contacts in regards to the lower-tiers of the KGB and Soviet Russia's intelligence apparatus. Basically, the people all around who would fib on their neighbors on behalf of the Grand Communist State no longer could get paid to snitch on "dissidents."
They all jumped at the chance to get in good with the CIA man and continue their ratting racket.
Effectively, the same ones who were snitching on their friends and family for the Motherland were now snitching on behalf of the USA. Overnight they switched sides.
Soviet Hold-outs were the new target, and any details came to the USA through McDonalds. Of course, it's always a pay to play so you had to pay in order to see someone who could confirm your intel on any potential "enemy to the States."
I can't seem to find it again, but I was watching old commercials and a McDonald's ad came on. There was a part where a little girl was petting a toy horse's bottom in a way that made me feel like it was an ad for something else entirely.

Thanks for this. You're very good at this sort of decode and what you produce is very readable.
Reminds me of 'Old McDonald had a farm'. Farm is a term for CIA
