Standing ovation for this. This certainly helps me make sense of my almost eerie feeling post national victory realizing that locally there is far more work to do before anything resembling a celebration can commence. Salute to you good soldier.

I'm in the UK. We have to throw off our current government before the hard work of rebuilding can begin. The world looks to America for leadership in this matter. The rearrangement, we have to do ourselves.

The loss of the US Dollar as a reserve currency will force other nations to look for alternatives. Since the UK is technically no longer beholden to the EU, since Brexit, their leadership, corrupt though they may be, will vie for their own preferred alternatives and engage in clandestine wars with one another to get their money system installed. Some will go for BRICS. Others will wait to see what Trump offers as a replacement to the fiat dollar. Others will propose their own, hoping to swindle others with a good sales pitch.

Ultimately, the UK will unravel itself. No need to throw off the government, because they can barely keep it together as it is. That also goes for ANY parliamentary form of government. It's a broken system by design. It's closer to a hostage negotiation than it is to a representative body of elected officials. Problem is, the People are the hostage -- who have no power. So, who is negotiating? Do they really care if the hostage dies? This is why parliamentary forms of government are destined to fall. What will replace them? That's up to you. So, I agree, get ready for a rebuild. Just don't be surprised if you don't even have to overthrow the government in the first place. The backstabbers have a way of taking themselves out when all is said and done.

Watch the 1955 version of The Ladykillers. I'm sure you'll appreciate it, seeing how the UK's leadership is very close to reenacting the movie, beat for beat...

I dunno if it means anything, but I look up to and respect you. I don't like it when you're so down on yourself. I think you're amazing. You can make art. You can code. You can teach and create. You can write beautiful prose. You're one of the coolest people on the entire planet.

Thank you. I appreciate your praise, though I have nowhere to put it.

Have you ever seen the Phantom of the Opera?

When I desire things, people often get hurt. Even innocents. It's better for others that my ambitions be kept in check. I now offer them up to God.

In Comms, I'm considered a Gargoyle. Or, at least, I live among them as a Quasimodo.

If I don't regularly humble myself, bad things can happen...

I have limitations. I turn to stone when the sun is upon me. Not everyone can watch the sun rise. The success of others is all that can possibly sustain me now, with which I am content.
