I did a lot of digging on freeport some time ago, and they are basically zero tax areas of the US that are run by independent contractors on behalf of USG, where the US Constitution is suspended. The idea is that goods are assembled in Freeports and then tax is paid when the completed item is moved into the US. I believe them to be a tool of globalism.
The "Made In America" label is regularly abused when most of the time the product should read "Assembled In America."
This is the first I'm hearing about Freeports, so you got me there, but I figure it's to get the benefits of the "Made In America" label which I suppose has tax exemptions while not actually being "Made In America" in reality. As far as the USG controlling them goes, whenever I hear something like that I think "Intel Agency Trafficking Operation." The only reason the Government has for keeping a secret is A: To protect the military and B: To do some illegal bullshit we'd kill them for doing.
How do freeports fit in here?

So yeah, totally reeks of globalism.
